Why did Omegle shut down?
In a farewell letter posted to the site, K-Brooks explained that operating Omegle had become unsustainable — both financially and psychologically — under the weight of fighting misuse. Omegle's fundamentally anonymous, unmoderated, face-to-a-stranger design made that abuse extremely hard to prevent.
